Population Management: an Ideally healthy family

United Nations Association of Nepal organized a one day seminar on 'Population Management: An Ideally Healthy Family" in cooperation with Russian Centre of Culture and Science to observe the 19th World Population Day on 11 July 2008. 
 
The chief guest of the programme was Dr. Bishnu Prasad Pandit, Secretary of Ministry of Health and Population whereas Asso.Prof. Dambar Bir Thapa, President of UNA, Nepal presided over the function. Addressing on the occasion Dr. Bishnu Prasad Pandit, Secretary of Ministry of Health and Population said "population growth contron and the managing the current population is the prime challenge for Nepal and Government of Nepal has adopted the policy to manage the population". 
 
On the occasion Mr. Yadav Kant Silwal, former Secretary General of SAARC, Ms. Lily Thapa, President of Women for Human Rights (Single Women Group), Ms. Pedan Pradhan, Assistant Representative of UNFPA, senior Advocate Mr. Dinesh Tripathi,  Asso.prof. Dambar Bir Thapa, President of UNA, Nepal, Mr. Tulsi Das Shrestha, Secretary General of UNA, Nepal, Mr. Arsing Starkov, Programme Coordinator of Russian Centre of Schience and Culture, Mr. Rambabu Shah, Deputy Secretary General of UNA of Nepal also spoke on the occasion highlighting the different issue of population management.
