Talk program on 'Nepal and United Nations: Partners for Peace and Development'
Talk program on 'Nepal and United Nations: Partners for Peace and Development' United Nations Association of Nepal organized a talk program on "Nepal and United Nations: Partners for Peace and Development" on 12th July 2018 at Hotel Yellow Pagoda in Kantipath, Kathmandu. Hon'ble Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister for Foreign Affairs was the chief guest on the occasion. Asso.Prof. Dambar Bir Thapa, President of United Nations Association of Nepal presided over the program.
Hon'ble Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister for Foreign Affairs inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Mr. Tulsi Das Shrestha, Secretary General of United Nations Association of Nepal welcomed the guests.


Hon'ble Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, chief guest of the programme highlighted the role of Nepal in strengthening the United Nations and the contribution made by United Nations in the peace process and development of Nepal. Mr. Madhu Raman Acharya, Former Foreign Secretary and Former Permanent Representative of Nepal to UN, Mr. Gyan Chandra Acharya, Former Foreign Secretary and Former UN Under-Secretary-General, Prof. Dr. Mohan Prasad Lohani, former Ambassador, Mr. Renaud Meyer, UNDP Country Director spoke on different dimension of Nepal and UN relations and the partnership between Nepal and UN. Diplomats, Former Ambassador, Professors, intellectuals and journalists were present at the program.
