UNA Nepal has its deep concern in the field of environment conservation. Sustainable use of forest, utilizing Non Forest Timber Product (NFTP) for the upliftment of the economic condition of community forest user groups (CFUGs). Nepal can be a huge potential market and producer of NFTPs, such as Herbal Plants and Bio Briquettes. Nepali medicinal and aromatic plants can go both on national and international scale, which as a result would, can provide scope for the employment to many Nepalese people and production of Bio Briquettes through forest bio mass and forest waste can aid to support power shortage and crisis in Nepal.
UNA Nepal aims to promote green economy and sustainable development in Nepal. Despite the country is on the developing phase as a result our advocacy might face different challenges in various aspects but our commitments would be determined to encourage public participation in the preservation of environment for a long term benefits.
With one of the top advocacies from United Nations and its associations through out the world Environment Conservation for Sustainable Future, has been the top notch priority. UNA Nepal has been advocating Environment conservation and effective and sustainable use of forest products for economic upliftment of the local people. We believe Nepal can be a leader in the world in terms of curtailing carbon emission through introduction of Biochar Plants, reducing forest wastes by the production of Bio Briquettes in order to answer the energy shortage in Nepal.
